Istituto Marangoni London, the prestigious international school of Fashion & Design, will showcase an exhibition of MA Fashion Design graduates from 13-25 June.
This milestone exhibition will showcase work from the current MA Fashion Design graduates from Istituto Marangoni London. The cohort of international students will bring their unique points of view to the Fashion Design practice, offering a space for engaged debate around their subject. Set within the heart of East London, at the Istituto Marangoni London campus on Fashion Street, the work showcased will evidence an exciting array of contributions to acknowledge fashion design now and into the future.
Exploring current industry concerns and debates such as waste and recycling and reviving traditional crafts, to the impact of AI on the design process; the students aim to forge new paths and offer a diverse range of solutions. Students have been challenged to engage with critical debates relating to fashion and the world to deliver a deeply researched body of work focusing on ethical approaches and responsible design solutions. Social and environmental sustainability must be intrinsic to the design process, sourcing pre-existing materials or up-cycling available materials.
Comprised of a static exhibition with some interactive elements, 10 MA Fashion Design students have been selected to display one look on a mannequin or plinth, each accompanied with a student biography and an abstract from their accompanying dissertation project.
Istituto Marangoni London will open their doors to prospective students at the Open Day also being held on the 13th June.
