Community Clothing marks its 10th anniversary this September with a decade of making exceptional, affordable clothes and supporting skilled manufacturing jobs across Britain.

To mark its 10th anniversary this September, Community Clothing - the British clothing brand and social enterprise founded by Great British Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant - is celebrating with ten Community Favourites: a selection of its most-loved pieces from the past decade.

Launched in 2016 with a mission - to make exceptional-quality, affordable clothes in the UK and create skilled jobs where they're needed most - Community Clothing now works with a nationwide network of 59 partner factories, championing British manufacturing and preserving generations of craftsmanship.

Over the past decade, it has generated a whopping 667,287 hours of skilled manufacturing work across Lancashire, Yorkshire, the Midlands, Scotland and Wales, with more than 2,000 people now employed within its manufacturing network.

Instead of producing endless seasonal collections, the company creates timeless, everyday clothes designed to be worn and enjoyed for years.

Its garments are made almost exclusively from responsibly sourced natural fibres, including cotton, wool and linen, with an emphasis on quality, durability and reducing environmental impact.

Its unique off-peak production model allows partner factories to make Community Clothing garments during quieter periods, helping them to use spare capacity, maintain skilled employment and operate more efficiently.

Community Clothing was born from Patrick Grant’s determination to protect Britain’s clothing industry. After stepping in to save historic Blackburn manufacturer Cookson & Clegg from closure, he saw first-hand the need for a new model that would keep factories busy, preserve specialist skills and create secure employment within the country’s textile communities.
