100% Plastic Free

100% Organic Cotton

100% UK Made

Community Clothing has launched a new collection of kids clothing that doesn’t cost the earth. The 100% organic cotton collection is 100% free from any plastic materials and made in the UK by well paid workers. The unisex collection of sweatshirts, t-shirts and trousers feature illustrations by the artist Will Broome who has created families of animal, monster and robot characters for Community Clothing.

It’s a little known fact that most clothing labelled as 100% organic cotton, doesn’t  actually have to be made with 100% organic cotton fibres. Surprisingly, almost all organic cotton clothing is sewn together using polyester thread, and use trimmings which feature plastic materials. However, Community Clothing Kids 100% organic cotton kids t-shirts and sweatshirts are made with just cotton fabric, cotton rib, cotton thread, and no plastic labels, or packaging. The trousers are made of organic cotton with a natural rubber waistband.

Like the men’s and women’s collection, 100% of the Community Clothing kids clothes are made in the UK, in fantastic factories staffed by happy well paid workers, made using the brilliantly clean energy that we now enjoy in the UK.  Community Clothing founder Patrick Grant explains:

“Making in the UK means less than half the carbon cost in the energy used to make them vs somewhere like Turkey where a lot of premium kids clothes are made, and it's far less than half than China, or India. On top of that child labour and child slavery is a big problem in fashion supply chains.”

The new kids collection is a natural next step for the brand which was founded in 2016 with a unique business model that keeps prices low by utilising off-peak production and focusing on seasonless & brilliant quality basics whilst working with the very best UK factories and using the best, natural materials. Thanks to the business structure, the new range of kids clothes are also less than half the price of most other premium childrenswear.

"We believe clothes shouldn’t cost the earth and kids clothes should be no different. We’ve gone to huge lengths to make brilliant quality clothing that you can feel proud to dress your kids in; made of the best stuff on earth, made using the cleanest energy on the planet, and made 100% plastic free.” (Patrick Grant)

Made right here in the UK using 100% plastic free natural materials, Community Clothing Kids will make everyone smile. The collection is available at communityclothing.co.uk priced from £22-£49.
