Istituto Marangoni London, the prestigious international fashion and design school, opens the new academic term with a dynamic line-up of industry talks, mentorships, and partnerships - and celebrates a record-breaking rise in graduate employability rates.
This year’s results are particularly striking, showing a group-wide increase in employability from 89% to 91%. Most notably, the London campus achieved a remarkable 96% employability rate — an impressive 11% leap from last year. Graduates are not only securing jobs more quickly but also reporting higher job satisfaction and stronger alignment with their fields of study, underscoring Istituto Marangoni’s commitment to preparing students with the skills and insights industry demands.

Welcome Week 2025
Running from 29 September – 3 October, Welcome Week will introduce students to the breadth of IML’s academic and cultural programmes and kick off the academic year with thought leadership and industry engagement.
30 September: Imane Laasri, Marketing & Communications Director for Cartier, will share her expertise on global brand storytelling and luxury positioning in today’s competitive landscape.
1 October: A flagship Panel Talk will bring together senior voices from Nalan Dodgson, Talent Acquisition Director at Burberry, Freya Costello, Regional director of PR & Marketing at EMEA, Four Seasons, Sebastian Suhl CEO of End, and Steven Salt UK Managing Director of Molteni&C to discuss innovation, heritage, and the future of international fashion and design.

Fashion Insider Talks: Upcoming Highlights
Following last year’s standout events with Sir Paul Smith, Rahul Mishra, Sarah Mower MBE, Simone Rocha and Susie Lau (Susie Bubble), Istituto Marangoni London continues to open its celebrated Fashion Insider In-Conversation Talks to the public.
22 October 2025: Jay Osgerby will deliver an inspiring talk for the Design Department, exploring the dialogue between heritage craftsmanship and emerging technologies, and announcing details of the 2025/26 scholarship project.
Date TBA: Neil Barrett will headline an upcoming talk, sharing insights from his career at the intersection of technical precision, modern design, and global fashion markets.
Mentorships for 2025/26
Istituto Marangoni London’s mentorship programme continues to expand, pairing leading creative voices with students for long-term, real-world guidance:
Neil Barrett – BA Fashion Design, Level 6 (3rd Year) Supporting final graduate collections through research, technical experimentation, and the intersection of technology, arts, and fashion.
Philippa Nixon, Erdem Partnership – Masters in Fashion & Luxury Brand Management, BA Fashion Design (Year 2), BA Fashion Styling Creative Direction (Year 3) Bringing leadership experience from her role as CEO of Erdem, Nixon will mentor across brand strategy, creative leadership, and industry impact.
Jay Osgerby – MA Product & Interior Design
Launching scholarship projects that challenge students to speculate on the future of product and spatial design, merging heritage methods with advanced processes.
