THE YOGA BAR LAUNCHES NEW STUDIO IN RICHMOND

Updated: Dec 28, 2021

  • Following the success of The Yoga Bar studio in Twickenham, the brand is expanding with a new Richmond-based studio launching in January 2022.

  • Offering a space away from the demands of day-to-day life, The Yoga Bar blends urban and natural, luxurious and cosy, for a sanctuary offering a full “mind and body” experience.

  • The Yoga Bar ethos is centred around community and inclusivity, and the principle that yoga can benefit all bodies both physically and mentally.

  • The Yoga Bar will be offering a pre-opening offer from December 2021, at just £45 for a month of unlimited classes.

  • Adapting to the current climate, The Yoga Bar will also be offering all of its classes as streams, using high-tech recording equipment so that clients don’t miss out on the quality of an in-person session.

  • The Yoga Bar also offers 1-2-1 sessions upon request.

The Yoga Bar, founded in 2018, is a small local business with soul, committed to building a community of like-minded people. Having already grown a loyal following for its flagship Twickenham studio, the group is expanding with a brand new location in Richmond.

Encouraging people to come back to the studio safely, The Yoga Bar will be taking all the necessary precautions to ensure that the space remains COVID-safe so that clients can enjoy in-person classes. Alternatively, all its (affordable) pricing options also cover all the studio’s live streams for busier schedules or for those still tentative about venturing to group classes including:

  • Yoga (Foundations, Power, Yin, Hatha, Restore, Sunrise)

  • Pilates (all levels)

  • Barre (all levels)

About the Founder

Gemma founded The Yoga Bar alongside a high-pressure career as a barrister; yoga has always been the “yin” to the “yang” of her legal work. At the end of a difficult day in court, she turns to her yoga mat to release all of the negative emotions of the day; and to come away feeling better in mind and body.

Gemma felt that her local area was missing a bespoke studio where like-minded people could connect through yoga, practice in a calming and enhancing space, and benefit from talented, encouraging teachers. She feels humbled that such an inspirational community of students and teachers has evolved; and that this has withstood the challenges of the last two years. She is incredibly excited to be expanding to Richmond and for the community to grow further.
