Fashion designer Bella Freud's latest ‘Peace and Love’ t-shirt for War Child has garnered support from a host of celebrities and influencers who have been sharing their support for the new grey colour way which has been released for this year’s World Refugee Day, which took place on Tuesday, June 20.
Celebrities including Charithra Chandran, Joshua Whitehouse, Jack Savoretti, Birdy, Siobhan Donaghy, Sai Bennett, Jack Guinness and DJ Henri Bergmann have taken to their social media channels to share images of themselves wearing the t-shirt whilst calling upon their followers to unite in solidarity with refugees.
The world is currently facing an unprecedented refugee crisis as 108.4 million people find themselves displaced with an estimated 43.3 million of them innocent children – almost 40% of the total.
As the world marked World Refugee Day, Charithra Chandran, Joshua Whitehouse, Jack Savoretti, Birdy, Siobhan Donaghy, Sai Bennett, Jack Guinness and DJ Henri Bergmann are asking people to purchase their own ‘Peace and Love’ t-shirt to support War Child’s work with refugees including in Ukraine, Syria and Yemen.
