Community Clothing will launch what the brand believes to be the world’s only 100% plastic free swimming shorts.

Almost every pair of swimming trunks sold in the world today contain some plastic, even if it’s just the thread, and the great majority are made from 100% plastic material. A third of ocean microplastics are synthetic fibres from our clothes but Community Clothing’s new all natural 100% biodegradable plastic free swimming shorts will help keep plastic out of the sea.

The plastic free swimming shorts will launch initially in navy and blue on xxx, priced at £xxx.

In addition to the new swimming shorts, Community Clothing’s range of classic summer shorts are handmade in the UK in high quality pure cotton fabrics.

The Pleated Shorts are available in classic navy or olive with a relaxed fit, while the Classic Shorts have a regular fit and are available in navy, stone, RAF blue, olive and salmon red. Both are made in a 100% cotton twill and cut & sewn in Blackburn, UK.

Community Clothing’s innovative plastic free sportswear collection features a heavy weight sports short, a short and long lightweight sports short and running shorts. The construction is entirely plastic free, made from 100% organic cotton with cotton drawcord and thread and a cotton & natural rubber woven elastic.

Community Clothing’s focus on natural fibres makes the non-seasonal collection perfect for warmer temperatures. Alongside the summer shorts are simple cotton t-shirts, polos and shirts, cotton trousers and classic denim jeans that create a timeless and easy to wear capsule - good all year round but perfect for summer travels.
