My Little Morphée is a non-digital, screen-free sleeping aid designed especially for children aged three to eight years. The younger sibling of the French-founded Morphée - its best-selling adult counterpart - My Little Morphée contains 192 meditative journeys to prepare children before bedtime or help calm them down during the day.
These sessions include visualisations (or ‘journeys’), breathing and relaxation exercises, and guided meditations. All sessions were designed and carried out by sleep experts specialising in child relaxation. The meditations and visualisations are also designed to help children develop their personal confidence, improve concentration and focus, and foster emotional versatility.
The 128 soothing visual journeys transport children to different destinations (an island, desert, forest…), guided by an animal of their choice. Each animal represents a different facet of emotions, be it confidence, enthusiasm, wisdom, generosity, happiness, courage, curiosity and independence, helping children to develop their own sense of self.
The meditations, on the other hand, help children gain control and calm their emotions, while the 16 nature sounds and 16 soft music tracks (composed especially for My Little Morphée) respectively help them unwind and relax.
My Little Morphée is deliberately 100% non-digital, wave, and screen-free, so as to avoid any disruptive blue light from digital devices in the bedroom, which can prevent children from falling asleep easily. Its intuitive design is easy for children to use, while its portable nature means it can be brought along while travelling, when children often have greater difficulty nodding off.
How does it work?
My Little Morphée has a battery life of approximately three hours on play mode (or almost 15 stories). The device can be charged by plugging it into a computer (with the USB cable provided) or via a USB power adaptor (not included).
With the first key, the child chooses the animal with which to go on a journey. With the second key, the child chooses the universe to which they want to travel. On the side, the child chooses the duration of the session (short or long) and sets off on their journey or begins their meditation, immersion in nature or piece of relaxing music. These can be listened to via the built-in speakers, or with headphones plugged in.
