The week-long series of talks and discussions offered current, new, and prospective students rare access to voices shaping today’s creative industries.
Upcoming Highlight: Jay Osgerby OBE In Conversation
Following a celebrated series of Fashion Insider Talks featuring the likes of Sir Paul Smith, Simone Rocha, Rahul Mishra, Sarah Mower MBE, and Susie Lau (Susie Bubble), Istituto Marangoni London continues to open its renowned in-conversation events to the public.
On 22 October 2025, Jay Osgerby, industrial designer and founding partner of Barber Osgerby, will address students and guests of Istituto Marangoni London’s Design Department. His talk will explore the tension and harmony between heritage craftsmanship and emerging technologies, and will also unveil details of the 2025/26 Design Scholarship Project.
“Jay brings with him an approach that is both deeply creative and rigorously inventive. His way of thinking encourages students to question conventions and find their own language of design. At Istituto Marangoni London, we believe mentorship at this level transforms not just projects, but perspectives; guiding young creatives to see design as a living dialogue between craft, innovation, and purpose.” Adi Maoz-Cohen, Director of Education, Istituto Marangoni London
Mentorships for 2025/26
At the heart of Istituto Marangoni London’s mission lies a commitment to bridging education and industry as a way of ensuring students learn directly from those shaping the creative landscape today.
This year, that mission takes on new depth with Jay Osgerby OBE joining the school’s distinguished Mentorship Programme.

Jay Osgerby OBE: Mentor, MA Product & Interior Design
An internationally renowned industrial designer and co-founder of Barber Osgerby, Jay brings a multidisciplinary approach that spans architecture, furniture, product, and interior design. His mentorship will anchor the 2025/26 Design Scholarship Project, inviting students to explore how heritage craftsmanship and emerging technologies can coexist to redefine the future of design.
"Design has always been as much about inquiry as it is about making. It is a way of asking questions of the world, testing ideas and shaping new perspectives. Mentoring at Istituto Marangoni allows me to share that approach with emerging designers, encouraging critical thinking, resilience and the confidence to develop a voice of their own.” Jay Osgerby
Through hands-on guidance and conceptual exploration, Osgerby will lead MA Product & Interior Design students in developing future-facing solutions that merge craft, innovation, and cultural awareness, which are hallmarks of Istituto Marangoni’s design philosophy.
