Jurlique Launches Limited Edition Five Roses Range of Rosewater Balancing Mist & Hand Cream

Updated: Jul 27, 2022

Jurlique launches an exclusive collection that celebrates its long-standing history of using roses with the release of the Exclusive Edition Five Roses Rosewater Balancing Mist & Hand Cream.

For this Exclusive edition, Jurlique has partnered with Japanese-born and Canadian based, multidisciplinary and botanical artist, Raku Inoue. Inspired by the nature he has foraged; he transforms flowers, petals and stems into beautiful works of art. Often gathered from his own back garden, Raku’s creations are elevated by botanical beauty and celebrate the force of nature.

Inspired by Jurlique’s belief in a healthy ecosystem and working in harmony with nature, Raku created unique packaging designs for the Five Roses Exclusive Edition Collection.

The Five Roses are lovingly grown on Jurlique’s biodynamic* farm, following holistic and sustainable farming practices that naturally look after plant health and soil, ensuring nothing harmful goes into the earth.

The Five Roses Family includes:

Growing since Jurlique started in 1985, the Rosa gallica is the brand’s staple rose; a unique ingredient in almost all Jurlique’s skincare formulas, known for it’s deep velvety rose scent which helps to moisturise and hydrate the skin.

Rosa rugosa, Roseraie de L’Hay, bred in 1901, almost smells like candy as it dries, and tastes wonderful in cakes and rose syrup. It has a dark fuchsia colour, is low growing and repeat flowers.

Rosa centifolia, Fantin Latour, was named after Henri Fantin-Latour, a French painter best known for his flower paintings and specifically roses. It has a mild powdering scent and is a medium sized shrub. It loves to be pruned after it flowers, which then increases its growth and blooms for the next season.

Rosa canina, Madame Legras de St Germain, has been around since the mid 1800’s. It is the only white rose to grow at the Jurlique Farm and has a beautiful lemony centre. An extremely thorny bush, it only flowers in later spring, early summer and almost looks like a Camellia flower with an array of folding petals.

Rosa damascena, Trigintipetala, bred in 1850, is the first rose bush to flower at the Jurlique Farm. It has a light but enveloping scent that lingers and is the rose known to produce very high quality essential rose oil.

A perfect present, from nature, the Exclusive Edition Rosewater Balancing Mist Five Roses and Exclusive Edition Hand Cream are each a gift of harmony for those admired most.
